Bay to Breakers

This historic 12K race has been held on the third Sunday of May since 1912!

While it is a timed race with bibs, it is also very much a festival. Participants are encouraged to wear creative costumes, and traditionally these could involve nudity. The public nudity ban specifically exempted festivals, so some participants may only be wearing their racing bib.
